A nutritious and healthy meal is the most important requirement for a child along with clean water. But to ensure all of this we need a clean and hygienic place for providing these meals, so this project’s aim was to strengthen and renovate the canteen at the Government Higher Primary School in Nelamangala Taluk, Karnataka. The canteen is fully equipped with tap water facilities for hand wash and to ensure hygiene practices. The canteen at the school will feed 127 children from 20 different villages with clean, healthy, and hygienic means. Apart from this, Hand in Hand’s health team also conducts various programs to create awareness about the best health, hygiene, and nutrition practices among the children as well as the teachers of the school.
