Funded by Lonza, Hand in Hand Switzerland and Hand in Hand India undertook a 12-month project in multiple districts in the Southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The project was implemented with the objective of providing access to quality and primary health services to vulnerable people through medical camps; enhancing awareness among women and adolescents on anaemia, Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), nutrition, personal hygiene, and sanitation; supporting government health facilities with essential medical equipment; preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases; and empowering vulnerable people to meet their basic nutritional needs independently by providing them with essential food items.

1,632 individuals benefitted through 19 health awareness camps that provided health promotion to women and adolescent girls

700 families across 4 districts provided Cyclone Fengal relief kits
