Job description

We are seeking a candidate with a strong passion for social development work, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant will be able to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, prepare high-quality proposals and documentation, generate reports, and conduct independent research on market trends and funding opportunities. Agility, energy, and a professional, results-oriented approach are essential, as are strong organisational skills and computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office. Proficiency in English is required, while French or German is desirable. Experience with social media, WordPress and Google tools, as well as an understanding of Asian – and particularly Indian – contexts, would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities

The role involves supporting Hand in Hand Switzerland’s Fundraising and Development team, as well as project and monitoring and evaluation managers in the field. The candidate will assist in drafting concept notes and proposals in multiple languages, review field documentation, follow up on project management across India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Cambodia, and help prepare donor-compliant reports. Additional duties include supporting promotional activities in Switzerland, providing administrative support, submitting weekly activity updates, and undertaking related tasks assigned by the management team. A first-level university degree in a relevant field is preferred, alongside knowledge of project management, project design, and monitoring and evaluation methods.
