Education
Educating children rescues them from hardships and sheds light on knowledge.
The ‘Education’ initiative strives to eradicate child labour and ensure education belongs to every child. We have achieved significant achievements and created long-lasting impact in the lives of numerous children from the underprivileged sections of society. Access to education and rights for children – the essence of this intervention – identifies and rescues children from labour and facilitates them with a comprehensive package – education, residence, and nutritious food.
Our Residential Special Training Centres (RSTCs) initiative has long been addressing physical and mental well-being of children along with education. The rescued and dropout children after identification are enrolled in RSTCs, which offers them intermediate education to fill the gaps in age-appropriate knowledge and learning, complemented with accommodation and food.
The strong network of Child Rights Protection Committee members ensures sustainability by restricting potential dropouts through meetings and counselling and tracking children till they graduate high school.
Our programme in India aligns with the Government of India’s Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), i.e., a universal education programme.
