We are delighted to announce that Hand in Hand Switzerland, in collaboration with partner organisations, will be conducting a special event to mark the International Day of the Girl Child at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) on Tuesday, 7 October 2025.
This important event will bring together speakers of repute, grassroots organisations and field experts to share knowledge, inspire action and celebrate progress in empowering girls around the world. This distinguished line-up of speakers includes Dr Kalpana Sankar, President of Hand in Hand Switzerland and Co-founder of Hand in Hand India, who has nearly 30 years of international experience in the field of social development, with a strong focus on empowering women and girls and alleviating poverty.
Whether you are a policymaker, practitioner, academic, or advocate, your voice matters in the global conversation on girl child empowerment. We warmly invite all interested stakeholders to attend, engage, and be part of this collaborative effort to advance gender equality and opportunity for every girl.
